How to Leave a Slack Workspace

This is not about how to completely delete your Slack account.

We will cover how to delete your Slack account in another post. When using Slack, you often join various workspaces. Some might be community-run Slacks, while others could be workspaces created by clients that you need to access. You can also create multiple workspaces yourself.

However, you may want to leave a workspace if you're transferring ownership, no longer want community notifications, or if it's no longer relevant to you.

Let's explain how to leave a Slack workspace directly.

If your company uses Slack, your administrator will remove you when you leave, so you don't need to worry about it.

Access the link above. If you're not logged in, try opening the webpage through Slack.

ex) You can click a button like [Workspace Settings].

After accessing the link above, you might be asked to enter your password. Even if you logged in with Google or Apple, you might be prompted for your password. By clicking on "Do you need to create or reset your Slack password?" below, a password reset link will be sent to your email.

After checking your email and setting a new password, you can deactivate your account.
